So on Sunday night (Father's Day) we went to Target to
1) get a Josh a toy because he decided to give up his tucky!
2) buy a pool for the backyard
We kind of forgot the had the Jeep when we opted for a little plastic pool over an inflatable one...but as you can see it totally worked out!
And Josh's toy that he insisted on was this little toy bumper car...that came with a Target gift card! Craziness. So we put $5 on the gift card and got it for him. He loves it. Although the battery already died because he ran it so much.
On Monday after their naps I let them fill up the pool and get in it since we were at the gym in the morning.
So much fun for so little money. Nathan said he likes it better than the gym pool!
We decided to just grill some hot dogs and veggie burgers (actually just one...for me!) on the grill for dinner once Matt got home. Matt's warming up some beans on the grill too!
Nathan spraying Matt with the hose!
Josh loving the "mist" on the hose sprayer.
Nathan loving being in charge of the hose.
Just playing.
Matt took my camera.
On the first bite...he said it was too hot.
Josh wanted Nathan to blow on it.
A little ketchup...
Splashing in the pool.
Relaxing in the grass.
Nathan totally dumped water on Josh without warning. I did take the picture quick..
...but he did get a time out for it.
It kind of lost it's sting since Josh wanted to sit WITH him in the timeout.
He looks distraught, right?
The next day, on Tuesday, they loved the pool thing so much we did it again.
Hams.
Such willing participants for my practicing. I'm taking photos of the VanHorns this weekend and I want to make sure I can get the focus right on moving little guys!
We had our lunch outside too.
Fluffer nutter and iced tea!
More summer loveliness!

The Rest of Father's Day Weekend
Matt worked Father's Day weekend so on Saturday the boys were able to work on his Father's Day gift.
We made him a gift bag with this pictures we took at Bear Creek then the boys colored it.
The boys decided to wear parrot costumes for the day at home. Thanks mom for getting Nathan the next size up. ha ha.
A Father's Day dinner that night.. One of Matt's favorites...chicken ranch tacos. Some yummy guacamole with chips and a cookie cake and we were set! My husband is so easy to please...and I love it.
He caught the cook! It doesn't get much easier than crockpot dinners.
Nathan & Josh made Matt Father's Day crafts and the gym. It was a neck tie with beads glued to it and a really cute poem for their daddy. They actually brought the crafts home and made them together. I guess they didn't get to it at the gym.
These parrots are ready to celebrate their daddy! (They are a little excited about that big cookie).
Lucky 3 right here to have Matt in our lives.
So his gift wasn't overly exciting...though it was to him! Socks, a nice new white undershirt, Axe body wash and Axe body spray! He actually got basketball shoes for Father's Day...a little early. He's been playing at the gym a few mornings a week.
Sunday morning Matt was able to go to church with us and see a patient right after. The boys watching Bob the Builder while we get ready.
Father's Day family photo after church and right before Matt left to do a start of care.
Josh is adorable.
