Taking a Walk

Nathan and I really enjoy taking walks on warm, sunny days! I even got a bit of a sunburn this weekend! Matt worked both Saturday and Sunday and we had nice weather both days...so we headed out for some exercise both of these days. Nathan does not appreciate having sunglasses on his face, so this hat worked great! It shaded his face really well. Plus, it protected him from the sun. We have shorts that match but they are still a little big. These pictures are from Saturday.

He loves to eat his shoes. These started out ON his feet!

Our first time on the actual dirt trail by our apartment with his stroller. The stroller did awesome on the trail. I had always stayed on the paved trails for the most part since we didn't purchase a jogging stroller, but I was pleased! I don't think we will even need a jogger! I am loving this stroller more and more each time I used it.

Sorry I keep cutting his face off. When I move my face from the camera to get him to smile I always end up moving the camera!

Oh my goodness this kid is cute

Jeep Stroller

We got a stroller last week for Nathan and I's trip to Pennsylvania. We fly out this Thursday. We love the Chicco stroller we usually use but we wanted a smaller and lighter one for plane flights. Plus, we didn't want his nice one to get ruined from being thrown around during travel! This new jeep one was inexpensive in comparison. And one of it's best features (from my perspective) is the "one-hand fold". So when we are ready to board the plane I can hold him and fold the stroller at the same time! It also is self-standing...another plus! So it should be perfect for traveling.

Here Matt is putting it together...and Nathan helping :)

Nathan liked the wheels

It tastes good too...a plus!

Here's a video of Nathan trying out his new stroller!

I have been pushing Nathan around the apartment in it. It's kind of nice to be doing laundry and just take him with me whether I am hanging wet clothes in the dining room or putting clothes away in our room! I have even fed him in this stroller :) And Daddy has pushed him very fast down the hallway! That fun was ended when his bottle of water fell out of the stroller and under the wheel.

Nathan Eating Solids

On March 12th, two Saturdays ago, we gave Nathan his first taste of solids.

All ready to go:

"Cut it out with the pictures, I want to try this stuff!"

I'm feeding him rice cereal here

"Hmmm..."
Photobucket

"Nope, I don't really like it!"

Photobucket

Nope, he still doesn't like it! ha ha.

You can view a video here of his whole first experience! :)

He got better with each try in the following days. Then we tried bananas. And he LOVED them!

And even better yet were PEARS! I even steal a few bites when I feed him the pears...they are good! I mix the rice cereal in with the pears and it is a smash hit. Here are a few pictures I took for my Aunt Michelle who got him this Steelers bib! Daddy wasn't around so we used it :)

He likes to see what is going on outside.

2nd Trip to Park

OK...so we tried again at the park right after Matt got off of work today. We didn't have but more than 10 minutes of decent light, but we gave it our best shot! It wasn't as bright so Nathan at least kept his eyes open. But the hardest part is capturing his smile! If I pull the camera away from my face and talk to him I can get him to laugh and smile. But as soon as I put the camera back to my face...he puts on a stone face! Little turkey!

Despite this we got a couple of cute shots...

Do you think he'll be scarred for life from all of the pictures? :)

Nathan at 6 Months

Matt and I went to the park to snap some pictures of Nathan at 6 months. It was a little chilly and bright on his eyes, but we did the best we could! He wasn't in the mood to smile though...he was squinting too much!

I love this. The boys in their shoes.
