Ikea Trip

On Saturday, we headed up to IKEA to check out some things for our home. Nathan was pretty happy in the back seat with his car magazine...oh dear!

He fell asleep pretty quickly though once we got going. We timed it just right!

They have a pretty organized system there!

We were going to buy this for him.

But he was over it before we were ready to leave.

Good finds!

Nathan did SO good on this trip. We were probably in there for 4 hours. We did stop for lunch in their cafe and a potty break or two. But he really was a champ.

We decided to stay overnight in Denver for a family weekend away. We stayed at the Hyatt House. When we got there, they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite! Sweet :)

It was really nice to have a full kitchen.

So, Nathan's sleeping quarters only were utilized for about 45 minutes. Matt and I were in the living room when we heard him crying very loudly. Matt went in to check on him and he had thrown up everywhere. Nice. The kid didn't act sick all day. Matt cleaned up the pack 'n play and put the sheets, stuffed animals etc in the tub while I held Nathan in our bed and calmed him down until he fell back asleep. How did I end up with the good end of that deal? :) For the rest of the night he slept between Matt and I. Thank goodness for King beds! He threw up a little 2-3 more times but we were able to catch it quickly and he'd fall right back to sleep. At one point in the night our bodies formed an "H". Nathan had his head butted up against me and his feet up against Matt. It was funny because he kept stretching his little legs out and kicking Matt! Here's a shot I snuck in the middle of the night.

Next morning, he threw up his water but that was it! He had some pancakes at the continental breakfast and he acted pretty normal and not bothered by whatever was going on with his stomach. He loved climbing up on these chairs to get to the table.

We went down for a morning nap after breakfast...and so did Matt and I since we had a short night of sleep. We got a late check out at 2 pm and then headed home!

Zoo with Jen & Jamin

We walked up to the top of Will Rogers Shrine when we first got there. It has an amazing view of the Broadmoor and the city!
Photobucket

At the bottom of the shrine, but still pretty far up...Jen & Jamin enjoying the view.
Photobucket

Nathan not very gently trying to see the view as well. Sorry Jamin! I'm working on his manners!

It was a really beautiful day for the zoo! Good idea, Jen! Here we are back at home. We got home kind of late so Matt was home from work by then and Jen called Kyle (who was already home too) to have him meet up with us for dinner at Louie's Pizza! We're just killing time before going over. Jen's reading to the boys. :)

Playing.

They enjoyed Louie's because they were STARVING and you could also tell they were WORN OUT! :)

Caught Up!

This is my last post and I'll be caught up! This is a short one. Basically, pictures that didn't fit under my other titles.

Still loving sneaking in and watching him sleep.
Photobucket

On Tuesday, I took Nathan for 18 month pictures. I'm a few weeks late but, hey! He's not 19 months yet! It was a really last minute thought. I started thinking about how much he has changed since being one and I didn't want to go a whole year without good pictures. I contacted the photographer that took his year pictures and she agreed to give me a "mini-shoot" if I came out to her in Falcon and met her at a park there. She has a 5 month baby girl and it's a lot harder for her to travel and do shoots! I was more than okay with that as I really just wanted a couple good ones of him to record this moment in time. Matt was all for it as long as we didn't have to be a part of the photo shoot :)

We were trying to figure out what he should wear the night before. I didn't want to go out and spend money on new clothes. So that's what we are doing here.

He was a good sport.

I'm not sure when the pics will be ready. It might be awhile as I know she has been really busy. I didn't even ask how long it would be. But you know I'll post some when we get them! Hope you all enjoyed the flood of new photos! Thanks for your patience.
