More February Nathan Pics

Once Nathan learned to roll from his back to his stomach, he does it all of the time now when he is playing.
Photobucket

I guess you could say he has "mastered" his stimulation gym. I set it up for him and next thing I know he has pulled the arch down right on top of him!
Photobucket

I guess he needed the toys closer so he could eat them!
Photobucket

He still uses his Mamaroo swing! It's not as roomy as it used to be :) But it still does the trick!
Photobucket

It's especially good when he is winding down or waking up. Otherwise, he tries to squirm out of it :)
Photobucket

Kicking his newest toy...a penguin! He loves whacking it with his hand too. It always bounces back for another hit. Best of all, it's deflatable...so it stores easily! Thanks Grandma Liz!

Daddy was glad we could get another wear out of this onesie. It's so sad when he grows out of the cute ones!

Getting ready for bed.

So we took some pictures in Nathan's "I'm Super" outfit from Aunt Nicole.
Photobucket

It started out well.

Then I stood him up to give Nicole the looks she had envisioned...him running around in his sneakers with the cape on. Of course, it doesn't look like he will be in this by the time he is walking, so we improvised!
Photobucket
He usually can stand a little better...but wasn't very interested. I thought he was tired.

I had to keep a hand out to make sure he didn't fall!
Photobucket

Here he collapsed and tried to eat his shoes.
Photobucket

And we tried to fly...
Photobucket

Photobucket

And that was it it! He was done.
Photobucket
And I finally figured out what was bothering him. Sorry to say it Courtney, but I think he is officially out of his Nike Shox. They were hurting his feet! And I think standing him up is what really took it over the top. When he wore them to small group last week he got really upset then too and I couldn't figure out what was wrong because it is unusual to not be able to calm him down. I finally took his clothes off...trying anything to make him feel better. He stopped crying, but I think it was the fact that I took his SHOES off is what gave him relief. Hopefully I catch on more quickly next time!

Here we are after small group last night. A happy boy, with no shoes on!
Photobucket
Matt mentioned how crazy it was that we used to take my weekly pregnancy shots in front of this same window...with Nathan in my belly. I love that I can hold him in my arms now!

I got my hair cut before small group. I wanted it shorter, but she took me shorter than we discussed. So I'm getting used to it. Matt likes it. And Nathan just loves being in his diaper :)

Valentine's Day

A very sweet friend of ours watched Nathan for us the Friday night before Valentine's Day so we could have a date night to celebrate. We went to the Promenade Shops at Briargate...one of my favorite areas in the Springs! We ate at the California Pizza Kitchen (a first for us) and perused the shops. It was a fun night out for the two of us.

Then on Monday morning, Valentine's Day, Matt gave his Valentine to me...on a DVD! It was so good! He's such a sweetheart. You're welcome to view it here. It's fun to look back on last year of anticipating Nathan's birth as well as the joyous first months of his life!

So I enjoyed my first Valentine's Day with TWO Valentines! Here's a picture of my youngest one:
Photobucket

Quite the cutie, huh?
Photobucket

Ready for the big heart day...red socks and all!
Photobucket

Nathan rolled over from his back to his stomach for the first time on Valentine's Day! I thought he would forget how, but he did it 5 more times that day...so Daddy got to see it. And then about every day since! He rolls over in his crib now too. The first couple of times he did it, his arm got stuck under him like this:
Photobucket

I thought it was so funny, so I took pictures.
Photobucket
What kind of mom am I?

Eventually, I helped him with his plight and freed his arm.
Photobucket

When Daddy came home from work, Nathan had a card for him.
Photobucket

It was difficult to keep him from eating it, but we managed to distract him for a picture.
Photobucket

It was a success. Daddy LOVED it!
Photobucket

Here is the card

I think being a mom is loosening me up a bit. Notice I accidentally put two "I"s in "WARNING". Nathan and I had already signed it so I said, "Oh well!" This is not the norm for me! :) (Not to mention how crumpled this card is when I took pictures of it because Nathan was eating it)

Photobucket

Then I tried to be fancy and make a heart shaped brownie for Matt.
Photobucket
I put too much water in the brownie mix because I was distracted and then had to add flour and hot cocoa mix to fix it. For those of you who know me well, this is not much of a surprise. Matt claims it actually tasted good!

One night Matt and I decided to sleep on the floor by the fireplace. The next morning, Nathan enjoying our cozy spot :)

Tubby time in DADDY'S tub! Nathan's splashing was getting to be too much for the sink.

Getting ready for a walk on a WARM day. Nathan didn't have any shorts except for his swimming trunks from his Grandma Deb. So we wore them :) (And his sandals from her too) As you can see, he is pumped.

I love the upside down monkey :)
Photobucket

He looked thirsty after our walk, so I thought we would give it a try...
Photobucket
He was more interested in chewing on it than sucking it. I think he got a little water though!

On our way to small group! Showing off his Nike ensemble from his Aunt Court:
