Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat was last night (Friday) at our church.  The boys were firemen.

You can't see it in any of these pictures, but Josh's jacket does have a fireman patch on it in the corner like Nathan's.  Then we made our own paper patch and velcroed it on his hat, knowing he would not keep a fireman hat on!

It's getting dark so early, so these aren't the best photos.  But you get the idea!

Josh going for Nathan's hat!

Cutie pies.

We grabbed washable markers on our way out the door and Matt colored and smeared their faces in the parking lot to make them look like they had soot on their faces!  Nice touch :)

Nathan looks like he's watching a fire and the shadow on Matt's face (from Nathan's hat) looks like Matt has dirt on his face too!

Brittney works with the children's ministry at Woodmen so she had her own trunk!  Nathan wouldn't talk to her though.  He wouldn't talk to any of our friends who were dressed up!

Brittney and Andrew are expecting their second baby boy on December 25th!

We found a giraffe!  Jonah and Josh :)

All of our small group came but it was so crazy and busy I don't have pictures.  Grady was a fireman too!

I loved this trunk.  The house and couple from the movie "Up".

We went inside to get popcorn, cotton candy, Chick-Fil-A nuggets and a slice of pizza!  And of course the bounce houses.  I waited in a really long line for Nathan and as soon as he got in, he told me it was too bouncy!  Seriously!  He still jumped for awhile though.  The smaller bounce house he told me there were too many kids in it.  He wasn't into it.

We saw lots of people there we hadn't seen in awhile.  My hair stylist was there with her husband and kids and Dave & Sarena (from Focus whose house we are going to tomorrow night!) & their son Daniel.    There were others too...I can't believe how many families this event brings in!

Back in the parking lot, ready to head home!

There's the patch on his coat! :)  How cute is he?

Some dirty firemen getting ready for bed!

I seriously think their bedtime routine is the best part of their day. They love it. We all do. We laugh a lot and it takes FOREVER! ha ha. Oh well, I think this will be one of Matt and I's fondest memories when we look back on this stage of life.

I just have to keep looking at these dirty firemen. They are so cute. How I would love to get a hold of them about now. Sometimes there are tears in my eyes just thinking about our little ones.
