October Days

Jonah came over to hang out the other week while his mommy had an OB appointment and some groceries to pick up!

Do you think he got enough love?

Maybe too much?  Poor kid!

Cutie.

I'm not sure what is going on behind him!

Sometimes dinner needs to feel festive.  Nathan helped me set the table.

These boys love pulling daddy's work car in for the night.

Nathan spilled something.  At least he was excited about cleaning up!

Last Saturday night we went over to Dave & Sarena's for dinner.  Nathan pushing their son, Daniel, around.  Daniel is 3 months older than Josh.

I went to Focus with Sarena and have loved all my chats with this girl.  She's fun, real and we actually have a lot of similarities so it's always fun to run into each other.  Our busy live have kept us from getting together much but we made it happen and had so much fun last weekend!  All four of us...and our boys :)

Our "bush" in the front yard needed some serious work.  We decided that evergreen or not, it needed trimmed.  And if we screwed it up, we'd just have to pull it out.

It's amazing how much we find we enjoy cutting trees and bushes!

See?  It's a mess!  And getting very close to coming over the driveway.

Taming the beast.

Well, that's better.

Good work babe!  We weren't planning to trim branches off of the bottom, but they seriously needed to go.  So it resembles a tree a little bit now.

See a little cutie in the left corner?

Installing cabinet locks.  Josh was getting far to investigative.

Projects with little boys around!  :)

Thanks, Jen, for the locks!  They work great!

Next morning.  I was kind of afraid to see how it looked in the morning light! ha ha.

Much better!

The joy of home ownership.  Makes even these small things give fulfilling satisfaction.  Next up...change the garbage disposal!

We appreciate these things because even the smallest task takes quite awhile with little boys to teach...and keep out of danger!

Boys in the backyard while mommy makes dinner.

"Ahhh"  I think to myself as I look out the window enjoying my family while they're not under my feet!

About 10 seconds later, they were coming in the door because it was cold out! Such is life. ha ha!

I am always amazed at how late it is when you are doing your blog Sonya. Thank you again for taking the time to do it. Good job on the bush/tree Matt.

grandma you'd be amazed at how late it is we do most things around here. That seems to be a most productive time.
