So Friday we headed up to Woodland Park! I'd like to say bright and early, but probably closer to 1:00 actually! It is amazing how long it takes to get the four of us out of the house, especially when it includes an over night stay. If we're staying one night, we might as well stay for 5! It just comes with the pack 'n play and monitors, and noise machine, and blankets and animals...that's really just the beginning. Then Josh was really tired and took a longer morning nap than usual so we just let him because we knew his sleep would probably be lacking during the wedding weekend festivities!
So, when we pulled into our weekend home in Woodland Park, we were very pleased to have made it! Our cabin: Baldwin Base Camp.
We found it on VRBO and it was a great base to be able to come back to get the boys naps and bedtime in between the events of the weekend!
Nathan liked the train that greeted us when we walked in.
I loved the decor for a weekend away.
Checking out accommodations is always fun. Liking the moose on the dinnerware!
Breakfast nook back there.
Matt liked this little man that told you how to dress for the day!
The place was actually in an RV Park. A really nice one. Our neighbor, Bob, was a permanent resident and really friendly. And the manager even stopped us on our way to the wedding photos on Saturday to invite us to their Labor Day barbeque!
This is the little deck off of our bedroom.
Kind of cool that they had a grill and picnic table too.
Nathan was crazy about this flashlight. They had one on each of the nightstands in each room!
Getting Josh's pack 'n play set up in his room!
I actually took a video of the place because it was easier that showed the bedrooms and bathrooms and laundry. Anyway, you get the gist of it! I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Woodland Park.
Ahhhh! Both boys napping!!!
This makes happy parents :)
But only for a half hour! Josh wakes up and Daddy takes him to McDonalds.
Then Nathan wakes up only another half hour later! So we get something to eat.
Thankfully, they slept really well that night.
So we headed out to catch some of the bbq that Cactus's parents hosted after the rehearsal. It started at 7:30 and was for friends and family to have some time together with Cactus & Nicole before the wedding day. Of course, Josh fell asleep in the car so when we got there I stayed with him so he could get at least a half hour before waking him up to see everyone. Including Dave & Mary Bowser!
Josh found his Nana...and a balloon!
That's Aunt Susie, Ed's sister, sitting by me.
It was good to see the Dodgens.
This is Brandon Dodgen and Julie, his girlfriend. We were able to catch up with them on Wednesday night too when they were in Colorado Springs. Sweet girl.
Brandon confessed to getting a mani with her earlier that day! The things you do for love :)
Matt & Courtney. I love Josh looking in the background!
Uncle Jerry & Aunt Kathy made it up!
The bride and groom themselves! Nicole, pretty pleased with her hair dyeing experience earlier that day. She was going for lavender.
Dad & Mom Witt catching up with old friends from Iowa.
And the sisters and sisters 'n law.

Good to see pictures of a lot of people that were there. I am sure Nicole will like this too.
