Wagon Trails & The Broadmoor

On Sunday, after church, lunch and Nathan's first nap, we headed to our new neighborhood! It was another nice sunny day. Wagon Trails isn't too far from us at all, so we made the quick drive over.

Here we are walking on the sidewalks on our street. Nathan wanted to be out exploring, so we took him out of his stroller.

There are city maintained trails all through this neighborhood, which we love. Here we are walking on one here, on our way to the park.

At the park! Nathan climbed up all of the stairs to the top of the slide (with mommy following along behind).

It was a good ride down :)

After Nathan's nap, we went to Rock Bottom Brewery for dinner! Nana kept Nathan entertained with her ipad. Although all he wanted to do was press the little button that turns it off! She tried to cover it up with her finger, but he was pretty persistent :)

Outside the restaurant. Nathan going after Papa's hat again!

After this, we drove down to the Broadmoor to see all of the Christmas lights from the ground! (instead of the helicopter). We got out and walked around the place. It is so beautiful at Christmas time. The ice sculptures had melted a bit from the unseasonably warm weather earlier that day!

We took a few pictures on this part of the Broadmoor as well. We also let Nathan out of his stroller and he went to town walking down all the halls and peering at himself in the mirrors.

We gave up on Nathan for this one...he was too squirmy!

The next morning was our inspection for our new house. Well, it was supposed to be the morning but got pushed back to 1:00. Dad & Mom were kind enough to hang around a little longer on Monday (they were going to head to Denver to stay over night there and fly back home on Tuesday). It was a huge help because Nana was available to keep an eye on (or chase around!) Nathan while the inspector went over things with Matt and I. Plus it gave us extra ears and eyes for the inspection! Thankfully, the inspection went great, and things are moving along to the next phases. We close on December 20th after we get back from our trip to Pennsylvania. However, I don't think we will make the final big move until January 6th to give us time to move some things in slowly and do it in an organized manner...and also still get to enjoy the holidays! Plus, Matt works New Years weekend or we might have tried that. Although, our ambitious small group said they could get us moved in BY Christmas! We love them and their enthusiasm!!!

Well, it sounds like Nathan just woke up so I better go. Although his daddy is still napping :) Matt is not usually much of a napper, however, it has been busy lately! But this concludes our Thanksgiving visit with Matt's parents. We had a really great time and were glad the timing of everything worked out because we had no idea we would be in the process of purchasing a home while they were out here! Thanks for coming Dad & Mom Witt! We ALL had a great time :) Love you.

PS: To see ALL of the pictures from this trip (that means you Grandma J!) check them out here.

I was so surprised to see more pictures tonight. In fact Linda and Jessie were here and I showed them all to them too, even all the video. Wow, you have been busy Sonya but I so appreciate it. Love you all.
