I almost forgot to post this! I figured I should do it to before going to bed. This is the scan of Nathan's head from the beginning of June, compared to his head scan done at the end of September. Basically, it is after 3 months of actual treatment with the cranial band:
On the first scan his Cranial Vault Asymmetry (CVA) was 17mm (this is the amount "off" he was). Basically if you drew an "X" on the top of his head, one "/" was longer than the other "\" by 17mm (or 1.7cm). As of this second, mid-treatment scan, his CVA was down to 5mm! These are very good results for a baby of his age because head growth slows dramatically as they age...and really slows down after 12 months. They need growth in order to round out the head. So we are very grateful for his results so far. To give you an idea of what the measurements mean, this is one of the tables I have seen:
0-3 mm: normal
3-6 mm: very mild
6-10 mm: mild
10-15 mm: mild to moderate
15mm+ : severe
So from severe to very mild is pretty good! Especially with the potential of more improvement to come. At this point, we are looking at keeping it on until 18 months as our orthotist recommended, but we're just taking it one month at a time for now. He still tolerates it very well! In fact, he bonks his head a lot when we take it off because he is so used to having it on :)

Wow!! Aren't you glad you found this treatment? Actually he is really cute in his helmet. G.J.
Such great progress and you are such an encouragement to others as well. So amazing to see the difference just a few months has made!
I agree that he looks cute in it, Grandma! And yes, I very glad we found out about it.
Thanks, Mom W! It does make it feel more worthwhile when I can help others who are going through the same thing.
