Christmas Day

A month ago already! Photos below. Videos here: First part of the day & second part!

Josh is up!

Cinnamon rolls baking in the oven for breakfast.

Aunt Age sent us a Merry Christmas text!

Cinnamon rolls and orange juice in the living room.

Josh was a fan.

We decided Josh needed to be in the booster instead.  He was getting it everywhere :)

This turkey make me laugh.

Hey!  I realize Nathan is actually ON the table.

Josh's first present!

Little help from Nathan.

This is so fun!

A guitar!!!  Delighted.  He was not happy when we took this from him at TJ Maxx in October.  I think because Grandma was with he thought he was getting it then!  He was happy to see it again :)

Josh surveying the present seen in the background :)

Josh got a guitar too!

Josh nuzzling into Nathan.  Which is totally cute, then it turned into trying to knock him over! ha ha.

Mommy's turn!

Snoopy!

Sweater from Aunt Court.  Thank you!

Josh putting his doggy in the gift bag.

This shoe box has shown up before at Christmas.  I saw it downstairs in the goodwill pile and thought it should be used for old time's sake :)

Daddy AND the boys got Eagles sweatshirts for Christmas!

Keep an eye on Nathan in the background.

Camera card (lost my good one at a photo shoot) and a phone case!

Do you see Nathan?

We didn't know it, but he was eyeing up his next gift, gave into the temptation and OPENED it all while I was opening mine!  He was THRILLED with his Christmas gift from Papa & Nana!

He plays with these blocks all of the time now and learned how to build things from his own imagination in January.

And a fireman set too!

Daddy helping Nathan set up the fire station while Josh naps.

How cool is this?

Getting late lunch/dinner ready.  Coleslaw recipe from Karla.

Nathan trying the cabbage :)

The dressing is the secret ingredient!

We got this to make Jesus's Birthday cake.  We can't seem to find Mary...

Another gift from Matt.

And rolling up the chicken enchiladas from the VerMeer kitchen!

Again, it's all in the sauce...green chile sauce this time!

Ready to go in the oven!

So...we were kind of behind on cutting the rings down, so we had to catch up!

He needed some help getting the high ones!

Last one...Christmas Day!!!

Time to eat!

Sparkling apple cider.  Even Nathan had some :)

Matt serving it up!

Time to make Jesus' birthday cake!

Tasting the batter.

Eww.  It's on my fingers.

Okay, I'll just lick it off.

Time to read the Christmas story.

Don't mind a lot of these photos at the end of the day.  I realized much too late that somewhere during the day Josh had placed a dirty finger on my lens and there was a big smear on it!

You can see it most where there is light! Like in the middle of the tree :)  But I still like the photos of Matt wit the boys.

Look at Josh looking at Snoopy :)

More gifts!  We ran out of time before Josh's nap earlier.  Plus, it's fun to spread them out.

And excavator!!!

And a United States puzzle!!

I really love this puzzle, Nathan does too.  Now he knows that Uncle Mark & Aunt Rosie used to live in Florida.

Time for icing!

Placement of the figures.

And sprinkles!

They loved this!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!!!

Josh shoved this on my lips!

And again!

Might as well do it right!

This cake was really yummy!

Thank goodness I realized the smudge was on my lens and I wiped it off!  We never opened stockings!

It was a great Christmas celebrating Christ's birth and just hanging out with our family.

Loved seeing these pictures again and all the narration. Thanks for all your work doing it Sonya. I am sure Jesus was pleased with your celebration of his birth. Matt and his boys brought tears to my eyes when he was reading to them. They were looking at him so a sweetly.
