Last Days...Car Wash, Fire Station, Country Cupboard

Where do you think we are now?

Yep.  Getting a car wash!

Nathan loves watching the cars go through.  Although he didn't want to be IN the car going through.  He ran into Pappy while Mommy took the car through.

Then he went back with Uncle David to get the forklift and unload some soap...and he wouldn't ride it!

Then he's ready to get on when it's turned off...and Uncle David is occupied.

Mom and I made some pumpkin pie that evening when David's family came over.

The last night we were there we got to go to the fire station in Northumberland and get a tour!  Do you remember the firemen we met at the Marina in the summer?  Well they said to contact them anytime we were in town and they'd let us see the trucks at their station.  So I sent them an email and they were so awesome to show us around on their Friday night!  These guys are volunteer fire fighters.

Doesn't Age make an awesome firewoman?

Look at Age's face!  The helmet seemed heavier than Nathan!  And that tool...!

Check out their old firetruck!

These guys are the best!  They were so great to us and our boys.

Then they did the craziest thing ever...one of the guys, Brandon, goes up into their attic and brings down these fire helmets!  He gives one to each of the boys!  They were real ones that were used years ago.  They were thrilled.

And as if that wasn't enough, the offered to take us over to their other station to show us their Ladder Truck.

And the fire chief showed up!  He's on the far right.

Very educational learning about all of their tools and the difference between their types of trucks.

After that adventure we headed up to Country Cupboard for a delicious buffet.  Thanks again, Dad!

Dad fed Josh a lemon.  He made silly faces at first, but of course by the time I tried to video it, he liked it!

Ha ha, Josh!

Making up for his rough play.  Look at Colin's face!

Posing for a picture for pappy.

Buying some candy with their wooden nickels.

Sporting our fireman stickers.

Posing outside by the pretty decorations!

Saying goodbyes...we fly out the next morning!

Cute kids.

Love fest!

:)

Lots of love for their aunt.

And each other.

All things considered, our four hour flight back to Denver went pretty well.  We were ready to land though :)  On the bus back to our car!
