Painting Nathan's Room

Time to paint our last yellow room!  Remember Josh's getting painted in 2012?  Seems so long ago already!

Prepping.  Taking the fan down to paint the ceiling WHITE!  We love bright white ceilings.

Now what to do with Nathan's stuff?  In our room it goes!

Speaking of bright white ceilings...this one is NOT.   We need to paint it.  Had we known it was so yellow we would have just had it done when we got the room painted, but it wasn't obvious how yellow it looked until you put grey up next to it!  Yes, we do like grey...if you haven't noticed.

The boys are excited.

Our little painters.

Little does Josh know...he's about to go down for a nap!

Now the paint can come out.  We let Nathan up with us a for just a little so he can "help".

Stirring the ceiling paint.

Here we go!

He loves it!  Here's a video.

Working men.

"Look what I painted!"

Then Nathan took his nap and we painted while they slumbered.  Then we took a break for dinner and the evening until we got them in bed again for the night.

2 coats of paint on the ceiling!

And Nathan's out.  I actually came in and found him rolled off his mattress and laying between the bookshelf and mattress!  I picked him up and placed him here...under a blanket :)

Love him!

While we were able to work uninterrupted we went ahead and rolled out both coats of pain on the walls as well that night/early morning.  I think we went to bed after 2 or later?

Great decision!  Looks good in the morning light.

Matt loves this gray!  Nathan likes it's name "sweatshirt".

We were pretty tired but we made it to second service and then put them down for naps.  Matt just had a second coat of edging to do in several areas.  We tried an edger and tape...but just simply painting the line seemed to work the best!  Matt was so much better than I was at it so he was the official edger and I just rolled.

Nathan during his afternoon nap.  Do you think he likes monkeys?

I love the way Josh is looking up at his daddy and Nathan sleeping. He looks so big in that big bed

I really like your new room Nathan, but I don't like that you are getting so big so fast! You are such a good helper for mommy and daddy too!
