Spruce Mountain Trail

The weekend after we got back from Indiana, we decided to go on a hike.  But first we stopped to look at a Jeep close by our hike just outside of Monument.   The seller, Pete, had dogs that boys loved.

Matt had been looking sporadically at Jeeps.  I wasn't really on board.  I like the simplicity of one car for a lot of reasons.  But for some reason this weekend I said to him, "Let's look at this one jeep.  If it's good and the right price, we'll buy it, be done, and then throw all extra money towards our house."  I smile now thinking back and how dumb of a statement that was.   Checking it out...

We told Pete we would talk about it and get back to him.  And off to our hike we went!

Nathan did a really good job hiking!  He was pretty tired by the end, bu not too bad.

Stopping on the way up to look at the train.

Bathroom break!  He tried to go in the porta potty when we started out but the kid is not a fan of those and apparently didn't empty out.

I know you're mortified, mom. :)

Horseback riders!

Snack break at the top!

And water break.

"Want some, Mommy?"

And down we go!

Love this kid!  Really fun day.
