I still have a TON of photos to go! Just bear with me...our whole house is sick. We've been fighting pink eye and colds since last weekend. Hoping to start this week off feeling a little better before we go into a 12 day working stretch for Matt. He works on the 4th of the July and both days this coming weekend! Worse yet, his sickness just began and it seems to have lasted awhile for the rest of us! So prayers for healing would be awesome :)
Thursday evening Mom & Nathan went to get some flowers to plant on the deck. Nathan tells me he had fun. Apparently, Grandma turned around in the car to go back and see an excavator he spotted :) So on Friday morning we were around the house and Grandma was getting ready to plant some of the flowers. Then we whisked her little helper away for a trip to the Marina with Age & Colin! Josh stayed home with Grandma and took a nap.
Here we are on our way in the Sequoia!
Colin ran everywhere and Nathan did his best to keep up! :)
Here's a video of them running.
Taking a break. How cute are these two?
Hopefully you don't get tired of seeing these guys because I took a lot of pictures of them!
Checking out the different flood levels through the years!
Colin got a lot of hugs this week!
Age's Gap pullover I borrowed matched my bright shorts! :)
Anything that involves water is fun.
ha ha!
The coolest thing happen on our trip! When we were on the other side of the river driving, we saw a fire truck spraying water into the river. Once we were at the Marina, walking around the loop, we saw the same fire truck!
And wouldn't you know? These super nice firemen invited us over for the boys to see the truck.
The one fireman was telling me I could put Nathan in the front seat and pull the horn.
Nathan was acting apprehensive and clingy but I went up there with him.
I probably shouldn't have pulled the cord for him!
I knew that afterwards he would be talking about this like crazy, even though he was acting scared right now! And sure enough, he is into fire trucks now.
Colin sitting in a fireman seat!
He's growing up so fast!
Then they sprayed the water into the river like we saw them doing earlier!
The men chatting.
The boys and the firetruck!
We got a picture with the firemen!
Nathan wouldn't do it unless I was there with him. Even though Age claims I just wanted in a picture with firemen! ha ha. That reminds me, I need to email the one fireman with the photo. They wanted it to put it up in the Northumberland Firehouse!
We found this tree stump!
These guys are fun to be with :)
They were having the most serious, funny conversation while we were playing on the playground!
Age and I trying to look decent.
Walking back to the car.
We went home and while Nathan napped I actually came BACK to the Marina to walk with a friend of mine from high school, Ange. She is a missionary in South Africa and is part of David & Age's church. Julie Gaugler is actually Ange's closest friend! So Ange is back to the states indefinitely right now and it worked out perfectly for me to catch up with her. It is amazing what time has done in both of our lives since high school. It was such a refreshing time with her. I loved listening to how God is working in her life. I also appreciate her unique perspective on so many things...even how she raises (or really doesn't raise) her own support! Nor does she want to know who gives to her. So neat.
That evening David & Age had a softball game! They play on their co-ed church team.
Nathan watching the game with daddy!
Some more fans at the game.
Julie was there watching her husband, Mike, play. You can see her sitting on a chair behind the ladies sitting on the ground. It kind of neat how it's like a family night for everyone. Even for those who don't play they come out to watch the team and watch the babies :)
Go Age!
David came to sit with me when he was out of the rotation. They have a lot of players so they have to rotate. David plays on a men's team too so he gets enough playing time :)
Love my bro!
So proud of the husband and father he is!
Daddy took Nathan over to the playground. Here they are running back!
What a couple! They just celebrated 10 years of marriage on Friday (June28)! Congrats you two! Love you!
Cute family.
Uncle Dave playing catch with Nathan!
Nathan loved it. He was telling me about playing with Uncle Dave and his mitt just the other day.
And that concludes Friday! Next up...my 30th Birthday!!! (And Dad's 35th...no wait, that doesn't add up. Maybe he's a little older than that :)
