5 Years of Wedded Bliss :)

On August 5th, we celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Where has the time gone? We were just kids then... :)


On Friday night, our anniversary, Brittney (from our small group) watched Nathan while Matt and I took a little time to ourselves. It's nice to have someone like Brittney who we trust with Nathan...she is so good with him!

We stopped at this park for a few pictures...




Yep, 5 years!!


Then Matt gave me the new Colbie Caillat cd!

Which was great background music during our driving! I love the calmness of her music.

Then we went to Panda Express for dinner. There's something special about this place for us. We went here on our first night out alone after Nathan was born...when my mom was still here. Our Administrator gave us a gift card at the hospital after Nathan was born. And one other night we went here together as well, just the two of us. It has always been just us, we've never taken Nathan. I guess it feels like we are dating when we go :) Not an old married couple with a baby! We like it.

Then we did some driving, headed up to Monument for an out of the way excursion. We saw Fox Run park on our way up and since we have never been there, we drove through.


This night was really pretty. It was raining a little, yet the sun was shining!

Then we jumped back in the car and drove some more. Through neighborhoods that Matt had been to for work, by areas I had never seen before. We took the back way up north. Listening to Colbie and chatting about life. It was a really rich, relaxing and sweet time for us. It certainly wasn't extravagant but it was us...simple, relaxed and rejuvenating. It was just what we needed. And so was the rainbow...a sweet reminder of God's blessing and grace in our lives.


I'm so happy to be married to this man!
