Weekend in Orlando

After my last day of work at Colonial Columns on Friday, Matt and I flew out to Orlando to visit Mark (Matt's twin brother) and Rosie (Mark's wife). It was the first time we were able to visit them since they moved to Florida. So we got to see their townhome, hang out with some of Rosie's family, and check out their stomping grounds.

Saturday morning, we headed out to the lake on Ben (Rosie's brother) and Tami's (Ben's wife) boat. Everyone got a shot at an activity in the water. Rosie started us off with some water skiing. She's a pro:

Then Ben showed us his talents on the wakeboard:

He's okay, I guess.

And then on a wakeskate. This is how he ends his ride-he lets go of the rope and flys!

Here Tami is giving Matt lessons before he goes out to wakeboard. It is his first time:

Third try, and he is up!

His athleticism amazes me.

And Tami's turn!

Some of us weren't so lucky that day. And when I say some of us...I mean me. :) I never could get up on the wakeboard!

On the boat:

Ben took us on a tour of the lake. This is Shaq's lakehouse. Life's tough, huh?

We ate lunch out on the boat and then headed back.

Saturday night, Mark, Rosie, Matt and I hit up the outlets and then had dinner at Fudruckers. Yum!

Then dessert at Jeremiah's! Nicole, this picture was taken for you...in honor of your love for Jeremiah's and of course...us. We even bothered a random man to take the picture. He turned out to be very meticulous about getting a good picture!

Sunday morning, we went to Mark & Rosie's church.

And bothered someone else for a group pic! This one is for the parents...don't we clean up nicely?

After church we went over to Ben & Tami's townhouse to watch the Colts game and also the Eagles game. Josh & Kim (Rosie's other brother and sister 'n law in Orlando) also came over for the game. Matt & Mark went out to the garage to check out Ben's Jeep. Matt would love to have a jeep like this someday to go four wheeling in .

Then they took Ben's Corvette for a spin.

Mark & Rosie dropped us off at the airport for our flight back to Colorado Springs and we had an uneventful trip back home!
It was a fun weekend had by all.

Wow, you are quick in getting pictures up! Guess that what happens when you don't have to go to work, right? Looks like you had a great time and beautiful weather. Did you like Jeremiah's?

I know! I am in heaven being off this week :) We did have a good time in Orlando. And Matt especially loved Jeremiah's. I liked it, but I am boring and bought a twist ice cream cone, so I didn't have the total Jeremiah's experience!

Pictures already, Wow! It looks like you filled the weekend completely. I am so glad you four had that time together and had good weather to enjoy it. Sorry we missed your call last night we were talking to Deb at that time. Thanks for the anniversary wishes.

Wow Sonya! That is really quick on the pics. I am impressed. Glad you guys made it back safely with no issues. It was a ton of fun having you guys down here! Did you have snow to welcome you back?

Oh the things I can get done staying at home! So yes, the pics are up...but I still haven't cleaned or finished unpacking!

No, Mark, no snow welcoming us back. In fact it was quite warm yesterday...and looks to be the same today. It feels like fall again. Oh the Colorado weather! Thanks for having us last weekend. We had fun as well!

What a great time we had with you guys. Thanks again for coming. Hopefully we will be able to see you again soon. Our friends were enamored by Matt. When we saw them again, several of them were making comments about him. It was funny.
