3rd Anniversary in Breck

Our 3 year anniversary was August 5th. If someone would have told me what marriage was like before we did it...I would have done it a LONG time ago :) We took the weekend before our Anniversary to get away. On Friday night, we stayed in Denver (priceline motel for $37...gotta love it). We did a little shopping for me at Express, (Thanks, Courtney for the bday gift card!!) and had a scrumptious dinner at A&W.

Here Matt is packing up our stuff on Saturday morning before we head to Breckenridge for the rest of the weekend.

Then we headed to Breckendridge...but NOT before fueling up with an IHOP breakfast!

We went on a hike when we arrived that was on the outskirts of Breck.

Going up.

Yet, ANOTHER good view :)

Yay for 3 years.

This calls for a celebration.

Okay, okay. Enough already, I know!

What we were hiking to reach...the waterfall!

We stayed at "The Lodge & Spa at Breckenridge" on Saturday night.

Funny story, actually. Here is the room we reserved: Windom Peak

Photobucket

Nice room. But not as nice as: Crestone Needle

You see, when we went in to our first room, we laid down on the bed, only to discover small black hairs all over our clothes...and upon further investigation, ALL over the bed and in the sheets! I went downstairs and kindly inquired as to whether or not they allowed dogs in their facility. Aha, yes they do, much to the housekeepers dismay. I kindly explained about what we discovered when laying on our bed. The concierge immediately offered up another room. A much nicer one, with a fireplace, seating, and a balcony...at no extra cost! Yes! I love it when things happen like this. :)

So here are some additional shots of our upgraded room!

For some checkers :)
Photobucket

I am a little bit distraught here. I was doing so well...until I made a really bad move that cost me 3 checkers!
Photobucket

He looks a little cocky, doesn't he?
Photobucket
Obviously, he won.

Reading by the fireplace. We were exhausted!

looks like a great place to stay! Dad will want to hike to that waterfall someday once he sees these pictures.

What a beautiful place. Is this far from you? I LOVED all the pictures of you two and such beautiful scenery. How do you get pictures of both of you together? Thanks for sharing. I could hardly wait until this morning to open my computer since Matt told me last night you were working on a blog.

I had to go look again!! Are we missing out on some news? "Thanks Courtney for the baby gift card"?

Also, I love the picture of Matt sitting out on the balcony.

It was a great place to stay!

Grandma: Breckenridge is 2 1/2 hours from us. To get pics of both of us we just set the camera down on something, set the timer, and I run!(or I use the remote)

And...do you think I would really post that on the blog before telling you? :) I put "bday" gift. I was too lazy to write out birthday, but that is what I meant! Are you anxious for some little ones? :)

Well, I had to look again. No, I didn't think you would anounce a BABY on the blog without telling us, and when I looked again I realized what it was bday not baby. No pressure!!!! We HAVE to go there whenever we get to CO.
