So...we did our own family photos this year. I contacted our photographer from the last 2 years and she had ONE slot left and was substantially more money than last year. I'm happy for her. I think she was starting to lose her love for photography as she was shooting all of the time and not charging enough for all of her time, emotion and equipment costs! But we decided that for us maybe hiring a photographer every year was more of an expense than we wanted to swallow. However, I do love documenting the boys growth (especially at this age, anyway) in nice photos, so we decided to do them ourselves!
We found some coordinating outfits, promised the boys ice cream if they cooperated and headed up to Fox Run Park for our shoot! Nathan and Josh did so great! I'm really happy with how they turned out and am pleased to have our family with almost 3 & 5 year old boys documented at this stage of life! And...we actually had fun!
Here are our photos on One Drive. There are a lot more of the boys on there.
And here's some to look at right here!
This is so funny. We didn't ask for this. Matt didn't even know about it until he saw the images later! Josh wanted to give Nathan a kiss.
Sassy pants.
I love this one.
Okay, better try to get the family photo!
Nathan running in on Matt & I trying to grab a shot. ha ha!
Love these two so much! Their faces look so alike in this one!
I snapped a bunch of them right here just talking to each other. They were being adorable. They're just each others best friend.
I requested a kiss.
Josh "spit" on my cheek! See my reaction and HIM stifling his laughter?!
And again...
These boys LOVE their daddy.
I really love this shot of Matt and the boys.
More family pics. On the ground.
It was getting really dark by this point. But we took some individual shots.
Matt was such a good sport! Pictures is not on his top ten list of things he enjoys :)
He said this was like senior pictures!
We ran up to Coldstone Creamery in Monument afterward as promised to the boys. And I got way more photos that I had even hoped! More than I needed, but I'm not complaining. :)
