Nathan Turns Four!

The night before Nathan's 4th Birthday we made his cake.  My boys loved baking in the kitchen.  Especially cake!

Okay...so they're not engaged the whole time.  Looking under their stool with their flashlight.

Checking out the instructions.  You can see that we're trying to make a camouflage cake.

Batter licking fun!

Food coloring.  Matt found this cake!

Lovin' it.

Looking pretty cool!

Keeping an eye of the progress.

I love him.

The next morning, it's Nathan's birthday!!!  A Monday this year.  Who awaits him except Jumbo in a "Adventurer" get-up.

And a card from Grandma.

Better try this thing on!

Now what?

Ecard from daddy at work.  Even in camo!

Greeting Josh.  Morning!

Craft time. Safari hats Grandma found at Michael's.  The boys had a ball putting the stickers on.

Nathan's card all stickered up.

A whistle on his compass!  Oh dear!  He's learned to "softly" whistle :)

Munching on a pop tart while using his new binoculars.

Investigating the leaves.

Josh is the deliverer on the investigations.

Ha ha.  Nathan just chillaxin' while his little brother is the gopher!

Let's go explore!

I had a bunch of pics of them exploring.  Or cart was full by the end of our walk, but most of them got ruined on my card and I wasn't able to recover them.  But, we got enough to get the idea!  They had so much fun.

Nathan and I decorated the cake after his nap while Josh was still snoozing.  He loves this part too.

More gifts after daddy got home.  New Eagles jersey and wallet.

Remote controlled front loader from Uncle Mark, Aunt Rosie & Drew!  Cool!

Cake time for the birthday boy.  4 years old!!! Where does the time go?  Love this guy so much.

Keep an eye on Josh.  He snuck in and blew Nathan's candles out! ha ha!

Re-light.

It's good to have a little help from a brother.

Inside the camo cake.

One very tired boy that night.  I can't remember why we let him lay on the couch while we did work.  But we did.  And he fell asleep.

Up to bed!
