Trying to capture my sweet baby sleeping on his belly with his rear in the air. His sleeping position of choice lately.
Unfortunately, it woke him up!!! Oh well, got my picture I guess.
Nathan's prize for pooping on the potty.
He totally knows how to go on the potty. He just hasn't decided it's time to forgo the diapers quite yet! One of the many lessons for me as a mom that some things you simply can't force.
Notice his "hair band"? He likes to put mine on his head!
He sure did enjoy his popsicle though.
"I'm going to spray you, Mommy!"
Well, we're already out here. We might as well fill up the pool and take a swim!
Squirting water into his mouth. Double time.
He cracks himself up.
Kisses for his mama.
Josh putting Nathan down for his nap :)
'Night 'Night. Love you Nathan!
Reading a bedtime story with daddy.
I love this succession of pictures!
A very well-loved Curious George book!
Silliness before bed.
They were both banging on the desk.
Nathan helping daddy lower Josh's crib.
Yesterday (Saturday) our neighborhood had a BBQ!
Great food!
Good company :)
Nathan checking out the tent.
Nathan wanted the "black coke".
We met a really nice couple, Chris & Jamie, at the barbeque. They had a 21 month old girl named Jordyn that really liked Nathan! And they had a 3 month baby girl named Jaidyn who slept the whole time we were with them :) We found out they live on the same street as us and had a lot of "small world" conversations! Jamie grew up in Indiana and they also knew several people that work at Encompass Home Health! Also, Jamie works as a social worker part time at a nursing home I used to market too. They were excited to meet us as they have just lived in the area for 9 months. We were delighted to meet them too. Jamie is training for a mini-marathon in October and I think was disappointed that I was not that kind of runner! Chris too since he doesn't like to run long distance and she tries to get him to do it with her. ha ha. I should hook her up with Jen! It was good to meet them. I guess that's the point of the neighborhood events...to meet your neighbors!
Josh and I waiting in line for Nathan's face paint.
Jordyn got hers done so Nathan wanted to as well. They both jumped in the bounce house too! Nathan waiting his turn.
They had some awesome music at the BBQ too! They even let this kid have a turn at the drums.
Nathan's up! He got shy and unsure. Finally, he agreed to a baseball...not on his face, but his hand!
In process!
Checking out his baseball on the way home. He told me he didn't like the pink.
I told him it was red, not pink. But then Matt informed me that the girl did in fact use pink paint for the lines! This child does not miss a detail.
Nathan made Matt wash it off before his nap. ha ha!
That night we went to Jim & Karla's for dinner. The boys did great and both fell right asleep when we got home! Josh actually gave this mom a 7 hour stretch that night! Woo-hoo! We had to wake him up for church on Sunday morning. I hate waking a sleeping baby, so made Matt do it :) And he said he looked so cute so he took a picture too. Makes a lot more sense when we're planning to wake him anyway.
After Josh's first nap we took the boys to our neighborhood pool.
This area has fountains to run through. It's a splash pool for the kids!
Josh laughing as he watches Nathan.
He's so cute!
We went over to the adult pool for awhile with Josh in the float and Nathan in his puddle jumper. It was fun racing them :) But we didn't take any pictures because we were both in the water...each with a boy! If we have any more kids the pictures might cease! Not enough hands :)
Back to the splash pool.
A sweet boy let Nathan drive remote control jet ski in the water!
He really liked it. He asked Matt if we could buy one. ha ha.
Giving it back.
$1 pretzel before we leave! Great price. Delicious snack. Josh lunging for it.
Trying to get a picture with my almost 3 year old. He's tough though! I might be dreading when we do family pictures next!
Love him anyway.
On the way back to our house we spotted these girls with a lemonade stand! We thought we should support their entrepreneurship! Hmmm...what do we want?
Tastes so good!
