Last Few Days

Nathan and I are laying low around here this morning. He had a rough night last night, woke up around midnight throwing up. He woke up a few more times, but the third time was mostly water. Oops. We read on Dr. Sears after we did that to wait on giving him liquid. Anyway, we think it was just food poisoning based on what we read online. We went through Burger King last night...not a good idea. Our food was fine, but we think the chicken nuggets got him.

Thankfully, he seems to be feeling much better. He kept crackers and water down this morning and he is back to himself, jumping, spinning and running around! Unfortunately, the rough night of sleep did not keep him from being up at 6:45am! This child does not know how to sleep in. I got him to lay down just after 8, and he fell asleep at 8:30am. However, we had A/C installed on Monday and apparently one of the guys left his drill in our basement. He rang our doorbell several times in a row at 9:10am. I ran to get it (I was sleeping on the couch) but once he left I noticed Nathan had woken up :(

So glad he is feeling better though. I was afraid it was going to be the stomach flu. Between the gym daycare, church nursery and being at the office yesterday and hearing that something nasty is going around, so many possibilities were running through my head. Considering we had small group here last night, I'm so glad it seems to be food poisoning. I would not want to pass that around to any of them!

Anyway...after all that babbling, I thought I would post some pictures from last week/weekend.

Nathan looking at a photo album I got him for Christmas. It has pictures of our family in it so he can look through and recognize everyone. I put it in his stocking and kept forgetting about it, so he actually got it several days AFTER Christmas! Oops.

When we go through it he keeps saying "Pap Pap". The name he can say best! In fact, when I say "Pap Pap" he runs to get his album. He also gets super excited when he sees Colin. He's crazy about his cousin. I think he can get "Papa" down kind of as well. It's more like "Pop Pop" :) Sorry Grandmas...the Grandpas have the easier names to say! Don't feel bad, he doesn't even say Dada and Mama very much. We know he loves us anyway :)

I should probably say something about his Broncos shirt. It's a Tebow shirt. It's really cute on the back where it says Tebow and has his number. Not to worry, we're still Eagles fans. And it's more my fault than Matt's. We're Tebow fans. We're reading his book right now and I am very inspired by the way his parents raised him. They taught him the value of hard work, discipline and most importantly, how to share your faith with any platform God gives you. He is inspiring to us in the way He shares His faith so openly. So anyway, we figure this is worth supporting! Plus, he looks cute in it :)

I love this! He is pointing to Colorado! I didn't even notice until I put this picture on my computer.

Saturday we went to a TCA basketball game. Josh is the assistant coach for the varsity boys team. Amber entertained Nathan for awhile.

He kept wanting to drink for the water fountain.

They looked so cute. They were twins! I didn't really get a good picture to capture it though.

They even have matching Under Armour shoes. Ridiculous, right? :)

It was a really good game. Close to the end and TCA pulled out the win!

Good game!

In the last few weeks, Nathan has become a lot more wary of other people, and more clingy to Matt and I. For example, when I drop him off at the Kids Club at the gym a few times he has cried a little. It only lasts for like 30 seconds. Usually, he is fine as soon as he is distracted and I am gone (I peek back in to see how he is doing). But he used to just go run and play and never look back! When we leave him with Ashley, he gets upset that we aren't taking him with, but again he is easily distracted and fine until we get home. Even at the office, he doesn't run up to everyone like he used to. So anyway, I was surprised at how he went right up to Amber and wanted her to hold him at the game! Especially, since he doesn't see her that much. It was really cute.

Okay, that's it. Hope you enjoyed the update. It took awhile in between trying to train Nathan that we throw balls, but not everything else! He has been into throwing EVERYTHING lately. And he has a strong backwards throw...dangerous for anyone within his throwing range. He does not know his own strength and I don't think he quite gets the meaning of "gentle" yet. We're working on it! His poor little cousin Drew is going to needs some protection next week when we are in Indiana if we don't get it under control!

It is so nice that you take the time to keep the pictures coming. We enjoy them so much. The distance doesn't seem so far when we see you all often. We will still look forward to seeing you anytime you like....Will see your Dad this weekend. Camp is great. Go to campfreedom.org and see the banners. Love Gram.

Grandma J- I know you will never get your fill :)

Gram- I'm so jealous you get to see Dad. I toyed with coming down there with Nathan this weekend and staying with Dad...it just wouldn't work out for a variety of reasons. I would have LOVED to have spent time with you guys in Florida. Hope you have fun! Love you so much.

I am so glad that Nathan is feeling better! The pics of Nathan are adorable. Excited to see you guys and Nathan next week! A little rough housing won't hurt Drew too much. What is that saying? What doesn't kill em, its good for them, or something like that? :)

I'm very impressed with Nathan's geography skills! And Rosie, it's "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger." I think the Dudemeister is ready for some rough housing!
