Okay, we are slow going at this with all of the videos we are behind on...but here is one. This is the night that Matt got home from some training in Dallas a week and a half ago. Nathan and I picked him up at the airport and then Nathan got to stay up a little late so he could spend more time with Daddy. We had him do a few things for you that have been part of his routine lately! Enjoy!
Oh wait...I just noticed that there is a second video up in January that I never posted about. This was taken back at our apartment. Nathan LOVES squirting water out of water bottles. Funny thing is, it usually goes in his face...and he STILL thinks it's funny! :) We laugh so much when he does this. He usually gets soaked and then we have to change him. We have to keep him away from all cleaning products!

Putting Nathan to Bed
This is one of our favorite times with Nathan. He is so cute when we do our short bedtime routine. We take him upstairs, turn his music on, his lamp on, change his diaper and put his PJs on. He is usually somewhat hyper during this time (like you would think he wasn't ready). For instance, tonight I was giving him high fives and he was giggling hysterically every time our hands slapped together. He loves the sound. And he really cracked up when Daddy & Mommy high fived each other because the "clap" was super loud!
Depending on the time, after he is dressed for bed sometimes we will read a book or let him run around his room for awhile, climbing on daddy and pulling his toys out. But a lot times we give him his tucky (pacifier) and his monkey and the three of us huddle up (with Nathan usually in Daddy's arms) and Daddy or Mommy prays. During this prayer, without fail (recently) Nathan will "honk" Mommy's nose, and Mommy of course has to say, "Honk!" whether or not it's Daddy or her that is praying! We all laugh in the middle of the prayer and then continue our conversation with God. Upon closing the prayer with an "amen" we find Nathan nodding his head in sync with the "amen"! We then lay him down his crib, cover him with his blanket, and surround him with his stuff animals. Sometimes (like tonight) he is still giggling at this point. We kiss him on the forehead and say "Goodnight, buddy! Love you!" This is one of my favorite parts because he has a big grin on his face and his little hand is waving to us all the way out the door. I also catch one more glimpse before we shut the door to see his little smiling eyes peering through the crib rails at us his hand still waving away. Then, he falls asleep within minutes. We know this because of his baby monitor!
This is such a sweet and cherished time for us. I know there is a day we will really miss these precious moments and we want to savor them. We always leave his room feeling so abundantly blessed. Children are the best.

Nathan
I know...what kind of title is that? All my posts are about him!
Nathan kept peeking at me through the chair while I sitting at the table.
This was on Friday night, after picking Daddy up at the airport. He flew out Thursday afternoon with his Therapy Supervisor for some training in Dallas. The training filled up fast so they only let the "best of the best" come. I'm going to get in trouble for saying that. Oops...already did! Oh well :)
I love those smiling eyes.
This kid loves his pretzels. He is happy as a clam carrying a bag of these around!
Making faces at daddy.
Did I ever mention that we bought these soccer slippers and the soccer hoodie with a gift card from Uncle Mark & Aunt Rosie? Well, we did. Thanks! He loves his slippers. Especially lately. He cries/whines/asks until we put them on him! In the last few weeks, he has been using sign language a lot more so he can say "please", "all done", "more" & "eat".
Favorite lunch...pizza. Just like his daddy.
I took a few pics today after a Sunday afternoon nap...for all of us!
Not tired anymore!
He was actually doing "So Big!" here.
I asked him to sit down on the floor. He listened really well but he wouldn't look at me for a picture!
"Look at my colored pencils, Mommy."
He loves to go into our closet...not any different than at our apartment!
He also loves to put his daddy's watch on.
Showing daddy that he put it on his wrist.
Making a face he loves to make.
With his coloring book in our bed.
Half smile.
Full smile.
Such a goof.
And then serious.
And then not so much. "Hi mommy!"
This kid has always had lots of faces.
Getting daddy.
Cutie.
Still cute...even in black & white.
Hope you all had a great weekend!

A Few from December, Some from January
Not surprising...I missed a few more pictures from before our move! Matt bought be a new card for my camera for Christmas and when I go back and forth I forget about the other one!
This is when we first started packing up and just rearranged the living room a bit so we had more room to stack boxes. Nathan was chillin' on the couch watching Daddy and enjoying the new set-up.
I love him so much!
Sometimes I wish time could just stand still for awhile.
He really likes "Swoop"
This is for my mom. She didn't think it would take but a few boxes to pack up our kitchen! Well, it actually took more than she thought, but this box was worth noting. All of our canned goods and spices are in this little box!
Nathan working on the griddle.
He likes daddy's new tool about as much as daddy does!
This was about a week ago at small group. Ashley wasn't available to watch Nathan so we had it our place. When Jamin showed up in these PJ's we ran and got Nathan's and put them on! He got these from Grandma Liz and we hadn't even taken the tags off yet! Their twins! The PJs glow in the dark, but I guess it has to be really dark. We were turning out all of the lights in the house to try and see it.
These boys were running all over the place!
Craig was pushing Nathan around in the plastic bin.
Jamin patting Nathan's head!
Jamin's turn!
"I'll push you, Jamin!"
These two are too cute.
Matt was brushing the light snow off of the driveway. We have to keep up with it since we are north facing so that it doesn't get icy. Nathan of course wanted to go outside with him. Matt got the sled down and was pulling Nathan around on it.
Matt said he loved it! Although you can't tell by his face!
Matt told me that the first time he pulled him around (before he called me out to see) he parked him in the garage afterward while Matt continued to sweep off the driveway. He expected him to get right up but instead he just sat there for like 5 minutes. Then he started whining/crying because he wanted Matt to pull him again!
Matt gave him a push down the drive.
We still only have one garage door opener (one is on it's way). So Matt pulls his car in the garage awhile later after he gets home for work. He takes Nathan out with him for this thrilling ride. Nathan loves it :)
"Hey, you going to get me out?"
Nathan playing with his Kawasaki IN his tent.
Peek!
We went to the park the other day when it was warmer out. It was nice to walk from our apartment and get there in 4 minutes! Well, I decided to run with him in the stroller, I never do that so it would normally be longer. But he was loving it. He had his hands up in the air like he was on a roller coaster! Sorry I don't have any pictures. I wanted to enjoy the time with him and not lug the camera along this time. It took longer to get back. I didn't run the whole way AND I couldn't remember how to get home! :) It was actually quite by accident I found the park. The streets in this neighborhood are very confusing!

Working, Walking & Progress
Matt using his drill again. He's used it a lot lately and absolutely loves it. Here he is taking of the brass hinges to put on satin nickel hardware on the pantry door. Yay!
I love that we can go out the back door for Nathan to blow off some energy!
Checking out what's under the house :)
Out on the trail.
Stopping to check out some rocks.
It's really nice to have the trail that confines him on each side with the brick wall. I can let him check out whatever he wants without trying to keep him out of people's front yards and the road!
This is the life!
A few indoor pictures. This was several days ago now but I was mostly taking these to show the new lighting and the furniture set up the way Amber suggested!
We actually have since changed this light fixture to satin nickel as well...nothing fancy, very similar, just a little bigger.
I'm trying to get away from the brown, so the pillows and paint on the fireplace will probably go. And of course there aren't pictures up yet, it will probably be a slow process of getting everything the way we want. We're trying to prioritize our spending and have had some people come out (actually a lot!) to give us bids on other projects such as a/c and exterior painting so we know what we need to set aside for these upcoming expenses!
Ktichen/nook
You can see the new hardware here on the pantry door.
I realized I never really shot much of the front room, so I took some.
Lots of room for toys and Nathan's tent from Nana right now! That picture is on that wall now too.
We are hoping to sand and paint this railing white this weekend. Looks out of place with all of the rest of the wood being white. Matt also changed the light at the top of the stairs this week. The you see here is the old one.
The lights.
And the "after" of those popcorned ceilings!
Our front door hardware that Craig & Mandi installed. It feels so good on the hands!
