Happy New Year!

Matt and I planned to spend New Year's Eve with another couple this year and when they decided to just stay in and watch a movie...we were all for it! We had to work that day so we were looking forward to a night in. Does this mean we are getting old? :) Matt ran to the store and got me these snowman sugar cookies and sparkling apple cider...yum!
Last week we looked all over Wal-Mart for these cookies. You just throw them in the oven and they are good to go! We couldn't find them last week...but we did this week and they were on sale! I love snowmen.
I was trying out a different lense here that Mom Witt gave me a few years ago. You can't zoom in and out with it but it gives me a much clearer focus on my subject! I'm sure that Matt will just love that I posted this pic. :) I tell him that his Grandma really likes it when I post pics of him...right Grandma Johnson?!
We rented this movie from Red Box. Also, something we tried to get around Christmas but it was unavailable! It is a Max Lucado Christmas movie. It was pretty good! Literally, it ended exactly at midnight because as it ended we heard fireworks going off outside. We went out on our deck to check it out, and sure enough we got a show! Wishing you all a blessed 2009!

Christmas movie after Christmas? After December 25th, you just have to build up anticipation to watch your Christmas movie. I told myself that last year when I forgot to watch It's A Wonderful Life and although I built up my anticipation throughout the year, somehow, I didn't get around to watching it this year. So next year, my anticipation will be quite intense and I had better not forget to watch it before December 25, 2009!

I know I know, it looks questionable. That is a Goodwill special (when I needed an orange shirt). Sonya promised me she would not post any pics of me. I guess that wasn't the truth.

Since when does Christmas need to end on the 25th? We are leaving our tree up all winter long.

Of course...sparkling cider! I wouldn't have it any other way. And I think the WNBA pic is cute :) You saw me putting it up, Matt! Don't make me out to be a liar!

Nicole...Christmas is in the heart...ALL year long! If I were you, I would watch It's A Wonderful Life right now!

So glad you like the blog, mom! It makes me happy to do it if even only for you! Your prodding got me started on it! LOVE hearing from you all on here!

See, I think you can have the spirit of Christmas with you all year long, but how is Christmas supposed to be special if you watch Christmas movies on New Year and listen to Christmas music before the end of Thanksgiving (when the Christmas season officially begins)?

I hope you realize I really don't care. Obviously you can do whatever you want.
