Road Trip to St. Louis

Mid-March we made a road trip to St. Louis to watch Ashley get married on March 14th!  After picking up these awesome organizers at IKEA, I found very much more prepared for the trip!

And our new suitcases!  I love you Sams!  Trying to pack light, and well.

The boys bin of fun for the trip!

We were packed tight and efficiently.  The trash bag on the back of the seat was awesome.

Even room for li'l George :)

iPad came in handy as well as their drinks with in arms reach!  The less turning around I had to do, the better!

And snacks!

Yum!  The IKEA baggies just made it more fun!

Our boys were ready for this trip for WEEKS!  I didn't help by starting to pack a whole week early!

Loading up!

Let's do this!

Immediately they wanted their new silly putty.

We put them next to each other for the trip.

Lunch time at a truck stop!

  1. Yummy pasta salad.

Really delicious fruit & nut mix we found at Sam's.

Pretending to sleep...turkeys!

Josh saying "Rawr!" as he's using his lion finger puppet from Ikea.  He kept telling Nathan's finger puppets, "I going to eat you!"

Nathan out, Josh being silly.

At our hotel in Salina, KS!  It took us awhile to get to the pool in our hotel as our A/C went out just as we got into town.  After grabbing a pizza box from Pizza Hut and visiting a helpful Auto Zone it ended up being an easy fix!  Then we got ready to swim.

Hotel chosen for that slide right there.

Nathan finally agreed to go down after we bribed him with food or something.  It was funny how slowly they went down this slide!  Look at Nathan holding onto the side!

Nathan was afraid to go under.

Matt kept him out.

Bedtime...iPad?

Bible App for kids.

'Night, night!

The next morning Nathan making sure mommy is hydrated before going to get breakfast.

On the road again with travel Bingo!

And silly putty.

Magnetic letters and following cards to make things out of blocks.  Thank you, Pinterest!

Filling in the letters of the alphabet.

Enjoying some iPad games.

And they're out! 30 minutes of sweet silence :)

Daddy's one and only wish for the trip: Fudruckers!

Our Holiday Inn in St. Loius.  This is the hotel Ashley had blocked off for guests.  Everyone conking out!  Josh being silly laying on the floor.

Nice bathroom!
