Holiday Fun

Making snicker doodles!

Nathan cleaning Josh up.

Bubble lights from Grandpa J!

So cool!

We went to Broadmoor one weekend to see the Christmas lights and gingerbread house!

Heading inside to see the huge gingerbread house.

So cool!

Out on the balcony overlooking the front of the Broadmoor.

A sweet lady offered to take our photo!

When we went outside to the big fireplace, we met a man named Jared and chatted with him and his lady friend for awhile. Turned out he was a CEO of a big oil fracking company (Precision Fracking) in Texas. He was doing a big philanthropic even at the Broadmoor. Amazing the people you can run into there! He asked Nathan what Santa was going to bring him and Nathan seemed a little confused and said something about daddy bringing him things for Christmas. Matt wrote him later that night thanking him for what he was doing with the 12 days of Giving with his company and mentioned that we are teaching our boys that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus and also a time to think about the less fortunate. He never did hear back but I'm glad he reached out...I actually just found this out! Sometimes in meeting people like that, we feel like we missed an opportunity in interacting with the lost. Anyway, a fun and interesting night at the Broadmoor!
