In an effort to catch up, I thought I would just go back through my pictures of Nathan and post a picture of him from each week. They aren't necessarily the best pictures I have of him, but the ones that were taken on each Wednesday that celebrated another week in in his life!
1 Week old:
My mom was here for the first 4 weeks of Nathan's life! I can not even begin to express how wonderful it was for Matt and I to have her not only helping with the care of Nathan but sharing in our joy those first few weeks. Matt and I both missed her when she left. I think Nathan did too!! :)
2 Weeks old:
3 Weeks old:
My dad came out to meet Nathan at the end of Mom's trip. Nathan and Pappy hit it off right away...even at the airport :)
4 Weeks old:
Dad and Mom Witt and the girls came out to meet Nathan between 4 & 5 Weeks! Here's some shots of them with their new grandson/nephew.
We also got to celebrate Mom Witt's birthday while she was out here!
5 Weeks old:
6 Weeks old:
7 Weeks old:
8 Weeks old:
9 Weeks old:
10 Weeks old:
11 Weeks old:
And tomorrow he will be 12 weeks old! Oh how the time flies! Speaking of 12 weeks...that is the official end of my maternity leave. However, I told my work about a month ago that I will not be returning so that I can stay at home with Nathan. They have graciously offered to keep me on as hourly and are providing me with some work to do at home and occasionally coming into the office with Nathan...at a maximum of eight hours a week. So it is wonderful to still have the connection with a work family that I love, and also be able to give my real family all of the love and attention they need by dedicating my time to them in the home. So thank you for all who have said a prayer on our behalf in regards to this decision. God has been so good!

Thanks Sonya! I loved ALL of the pictures and comments. I am so thankful that you and Matt are able to have you be a stay-at-home Mom. I know that was Matt's desire even before he was married. God will provide. I am also thankful that you are able to have some work and stay connected with your work family. They seem to be very caring and I know that they must love all of you. Praise God for his goodness and faithfulness. Love, Grandma J.
You're very welcome, Grandma. I am very grateful and blessed to be married to your grandson!
I think the last picture is my favorite one yet! I love the sweater and the shoes! Very cute. I'm excited to meet Nathan in a week.
Thanks, Mark! The sweater is thanks to my mom. Nathan's excited to meet Uncle Mark, too!
Sonya I am in love with Nathan! I can't wait for him and Jack to meet! I am also so grateful that you get to stay at home and still work a few hours a week! God truly is so good! Love and miss you guys so much!

Love having each week here in one post. It shows how quickly he is growing. SLOW DOWN Nathan!!
Thanks, Mal! I cannot wait for Jack to be here. You and Joel are going to be awesome parents!!
Yes...too fast, Mom! However, I am enjoying each new stage too. He is so much more interactive now. Smiling, laughing and cooing. He is such a happy boy. ha ha! I just looked over at him (he is in his mamaroo swing) and he had his neck bent all the way back to look at those pictures of you guys on the wall :) He still loves staring at them!
