Josh Turns 3! Saturday afternoon to Sunday

We decided we were not ready to be done in Denver, so we did get a hotel and headed there for some naps!

Josh has the essentials.  His "bubble blankey" and his doggy.

The boys LOVED this room because it had a living area.

Cuddling with mama after his nap and before the others woke!

The last to wake from a nap!  How cute is he?  He wanted to wear just his shorts like daddy and Nathan.

Off to get a birthday cupcake at this cute store!

He was pleased.

Going downtown to eat.  We were "racing" the city train!

Smash Burger!

The boys loved watching all of the things going on.  Josh is looking at the horse and carriage here.

Blowing out the candle on his birthday cupcake!

Yum!

Nathan got one too.

Listening to the entertainment.

So...once it got dark, it felt crazy and just not the best place for kids.  So we didn't hang around long.

They were okay with that.  They loved the hotel!

Gift for Josh.

Helicopter from pappy & grandma.

Taking it for a ride!

Bedtime book with daddy.

Aunt Courtney got this book for Josh called "Goodnight Moon".  It cracked the boys up!

Breakfast in the hotel the next morning.

Being silly with mama.

We always like to snap a few shots of the hotel in case we consider it again...or just to remember.

I usually do this when we first walk in so it's clean!

Ha ha!  He wore this shower cap for a good long time!

Back at home...some more gifts for Josh!

Grandpa J sent some hats!

Trying out the play-doh trucks from Grandma!

Josh Turns 3! Trip to Denver. 9.12.15

Seriously.  We're heading into Thanksgiving this week and then Christmas...and I'm still back in September!  When will I have to give this up?

So this sweet boy LOVED turning 3 :)  Nathan even let him have his birthday crown he had gotten at preschool for his 5th birthday in August.

Skittles!  I love his face here.

Aunt Court got him an Eagles activity book!

Love these two.

So our plan for his Saturday birthday was to go up to Denver, ride the city train (at his request), and potentially stay over night.  For weeks, Josh said he just wanted a ginger ale for his birthday.  So, of course, we stopped for ginger ale on the way out of town!

So careful and pleased with his drink!

Life is good.

We did make a stop at IKEA too!

It worked out great to have lunch there.

Aunt Court also sent tattoos!

And off to the train!

They knew this was the line they were not to cross!

Here it comes!

I love how happy kids are with the simple things in life!

At out stop, and then catching a ride back.
